Chemical Peels

Chemical skin peels help to create a younger, fresher look by improving the texture of the skin around the buttocks. Chemical peels can reduce the signs of aging, diminish the color of scars and blemishes, and create healthier, firmer looking skin without the need for surgery.

Chemical peels are most commonly performed for cosmetic reasons to enhance the appearance of the buttocks and improve self confidence.

A chemical peel may help with the following:

  • Reduce fine lines
  • Treat wrinkles caused by sun damage and aging
  • Improve the appearance of mild scars
  • Treat certain types of acne and acne scars
  • Reduce age spots, freckles, sun spots, and dark patches (Melasma) due to pregnancy or birth control pills
  • Improve the look and feel of skin
  • Enhance uneven or greasy skin
  • Remove blemishes (black and white heads)

How a chemical peel for the buttocks works

During a chemical peel, a burning sensation may be felt that lasts about five to ten minutes, followed by a stinging sensation. Putting cool compresses on the skin can ease that stinging. Depending on the tolerance for pain, pain medication during or after certain chemical peels may be needed.

After a chemical peel, your skin will be temporarily more sensitive to the sun. You may be asked to stop taking certain drugs, and advised to treat the skin by using other medications, such as Retin-A, Renova, or glycolic acid.

Antibiotics or antiviral drugs may also be prescribed. The depth of the peel will depend on your treatment goals as well as the condition of your skin.
